If I use too many H1 tags, could I harm my site's SEO?

Yes, It is the best practice to use single H1-tag on a page. But, I would like to add something here, i.e you also can use multiple H1-tags, if you are using HTML5.

Yes, using too many H1 tags on a web page can potentially harm your site’s SEO. H1 tags are meant to indicate the main heading or topic of a page, and search engines use them to understand the content and structure of a page.

When you use multiple H1 tags on a page, it can confuse search engines and make it harder for them to determine the primary topic of the page. This can result in a lower ranking for relevant keywords and potentially reduce the visibility of your page in search results.

It’s generally recommended to use a single H1 tag per page to clearly indicate the main topic, and then use other heading tags like H2, H3, etc., to organize subtopics and provide a hierarchical structure to your content. This helps search engines understand the content and its relevance to specific keywords.
